Manchester United reportedly lead the chase for Desportivo Brasil youngster Bruno Gomes.
The 17 year-old has interest from Real Madrid and Udinese in Europe, while São Paulo were said to be closing in on an agreement last week.
A report on Pitaco do Gringo’s Brazilian Football Blog insists, however, United are Gomes’ preferred choice.
The forward cannot leave Desportivo for Europe until he is 18. He had a trial with United – alongside Lucas Evangelista and Aguilar – in 2012. Evangelista has since joined São Paulo.
Manchester United are understood to own a percentage of Gomes’ rights. They insist a decision on when and if they sign the youngster will not be rushed by advisors.
