Seedorf calls for Ancelotti patience
Botafogo midfielder Clarence Seedorf has called on former club Real Madrid to be patient with new coach Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian replaced Jose Mourinho in the summer, but results so far have been mixed, with the 1-0 derby defeat to Atletico Madrid adding to the pressure.
“Ancelotti always knows what he is doing, give him time,” Seedorf told Cadena Cope, as reported by Football Espana.
“He is a winner and we must be patient so that he can build. They have played some good games, which must give him confidence.
“He has always managed to have his teams play well and in the end also win.
“The club have decided to work with him to push the team up a level in Europe and win La Liga, and for that we must give him time.
“We were together for eight years at Milan and I can guarantee that he is a man who knows what he is doing, with courage, who likes football and has always been a winner.
“There must be greater tranquillity to develop his philosophy of play and the group, before judging his work.”
Seedorf worked under Ancelotti at Milan for eight seasons.
