Ramires bags two as Chelsea ease past Steaua Bucharest
Ramires bagged two goals as he inspired Chelsea to their first win in this season’s Champions League with victory over Steaua Bucharest.
The Seleção international scored twice in the 4-0 win in Romania.
He got Chelsea off to a good start after 20 minutes when he opened the scoring after he poked home an attempted shot by Samuel Eto’o.
A Daniel Georgievski own goal doubled Chelsea’s lead on the stroke of half time to give Jose Mourinho’s men much needed breathing space going into the second half.
The 28-year-old Brazilian then doubled his tally for the night on 55 minutes as he latched onto an assist from compatriot Oscar to fire past Ciprian Anton Tatarusanu in the Steaua goal.
With the victory sealed, Frank Lampard completed the scoring in the final minute to give the London side their first Champions League points of the season.
