Marcelo back in training for Real Madrid
Real Madrid defender Marcelo is back in training today, reports Football Espana, as he continues to close in on a return to full fitness.
The 25 year-old suffered a thigh strain during Brazil’s 6-0 friendly victory against Australia earlier this month.
The former Fluminense full-back has missed games against Villarreal, Galatasaray, Getafe and Elche, as well as Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Atlético de Madrid.
He is not in coach Carlo Ancelotti’s squad that will face København in the Champions League on Wednesday, but he could return for the weekend clash at Levante.
Before being injured, Marcelo had started every game for Real Madrid this season.
He has been selected by national team trainer Luiz Felipe Scolari for Brazil’s friendlies against South Korea and Zambia, next month.
