Luiz wants Stamford Bridge to be a fortress
Chelsea defender David Luiz wants team’s to fear coming to Stamford Bridge.
The Londoners were defeated at home to Basel in mid-week, but bounced back to win 2-0 against Fulham on Saturday - a game Luiz wasn’t selected for.
'We are a big club and we need to show Stamford Bridge is a hard home, that people need to respect it and be afraid of coming here because they are playing against a fantastic team with fantastic players,” he told Chelsea’s official website.
Luiz started the game against Basel, but was left out for the Fulham tie, as coach Jose Mourinho looked to shake up his squad after the surprise defeat.
The 26 year-old has started just one Premier League game for Chelsea this season, against Everton.
