CSKA to make January move for Leandro
CSKA Moscow are readying a bid for Grêmio-owned forward Leandro.
The 20 year-old - full name Weverson Leandro Oliveira Moura - is currently on loan at Brasileirão Série B side Palmeiras.
He has proven to be a hit, netting 14 goals in 31 appearances for Verdão.
Club president Paulo Nobre was believed to be keen on a permanent deal, but reports from Izvestia suggest CSKA will make a move in January.
The reigning Russian Premier League champions, who are coached by Leonid Slutsky, are not the only European side interested in the one-time Brazil international. Clubs from Italy, Portugal and Ukraine are also keen, continues Izvestia.
CSKA have a history of signing players from Brazil. Earlier this month they captured striker Vitinho from Botafogo, while the current squad also possesses full-back Mário Fernandes. Forward Ricardo Jesus is on loan at Atlético Goianiense, who are in Brasileirão Série B, while Daniel Carvalho, Dudu Cearense, Jô and Vágner Love have represented Koni in the past.
