Walter wants to extend Goiás contract
Goiás' striker Walter wants to extend his contract with the Goiânia-based club, despite interest from other clubs.
The former Internacional player is currently on loan from Fc Porto to Goiás, but the Portuguese club are unlikely to agree to extend his loan agreement, preferring to sell him instead.
Zenit reportedly offered nearly 10 million Euros in July to sign him, but Walter turned the offer down. Corinthians were also interested but he was deemed too expensive.
Walter talked with Rádio 730 about his plans, he said: "My idea is to stay at Goiás, any Brazilian club can come but if Goiás make a good offer, I'll happily stay here.
"Money and a high salary don't matter, if three clubs come and Goiás fight for me, no doubt I'll stay, it's the club that opened doors, it won't be easy to leave, I'll do my best to extend the contract for five more years."
