Zenit target Grêmio loanee Eduardo Vargas
Zenit Saint Petersburg are believed to be interested in signing Grêmio loanee Eduardo Vargas.
The Chilean international, who netted in his country's 2-2 draw with Spain in mid-week, was expected to return to owners Napoli, after an impressive loan spell in Porto Alegre.
The Gazzetta dello Sport insists, however, that Russian giants Zenit could be readying a bid.
Napoli are said to value Vargas at €15 million, a fee that not be beyond owners Gazprom, who spent €40 million signing Hulk from Porto last summer.
Vargas has scored three goals in seven appearances for Grêmio, who sit third in the Brasileiro, six points adrift of leaders Cruzeiro.
He is expect to start for Imortal when they host Atlético Mineiro at Arena do Grêmio tomorrow.
