Brazilian duo left frustrated after Derby d’Italia stalemate
Brazilian duo Jonathan and Juan Jesus played 90 minutes as Inter drew 1-1 with Juventus in the Derby d’Italia.
Inter took the lead when Mauro Icardi broke on to Ricardo Álvarez’ pass on 73 minutes. It took just two minutes for Juve to respond, with Arturo Vidal tapping in from close range.
Jonathan was partly at fault for the goal, as he was beaten too easily by Kwadwo Asamoah, who squared for the Chilean midfielder.
Juan Jesus was more successful with his performance. Playing on the left of a back three, the 22 year-old gave a solid and assured showing.
Both Jonathan and Juan Jesus have started every game for Inter so far this season, with the Nerazzurri unbeaten after three rounds under new coach Walter Mazzarri.
