Allegri: Kaká likely to start against Torino
Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Kaká will start for the Serie A giants against Torino tomorrow.
The trequartista returned to the Rossoneri in the closing days of the transfer window, after Real Madrid agreed to let him leave on a free transfer.
Kaká had spent four years in Spain, but wanted first-team football ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
After making a cameo in a friendly victory against Swiss side Chiasso last weekend, Allegri insists the 31 year-old is ready for his competitive return.
“I think he will be in the starting XI,” said the coach earlier today. “He is in good shape, he has trained really well and he has the enthusiasm of a young boy.
“I think he is a little nervous about his debut tomorrow and it is only normal that he is missing a bit of match sharpness.”
Allegri also believes Kaká is a great role model and can rediscover the form that saw him receive the Ballon d’Or in 2007.
“Kaka can give a lot to Milan. He has done some great things here at this club, he hasn’t played a lot over the last three years in Madrid, but he has immediately put himself at my disposal.
“He spends a lot of the day at Milanello and he is a great example for the youngsters.”
