Coritiba star Alex rules out return to national team
Coritiba's midfielder Alex has ruled out the possibility of returning to Brazil's national team, despite his impressive performances lately.
The former Fenerbahçe player scored a brace on Sunday as Coritiba beat São Paulo 2-0 at the Couto Pereira stadium.
Calls to have him called up have increased, while Brazil's national team keep strugglin to find a classic number 10.
However, Alex are not interested in returning to the national team, he told reporters: "Scolari has already designed his team during the Confederations Cup, he already has some players, he already has an idea of what he has to do.
"I really don't see myself in that situation, it would be great, amazing but I really don't believe [I can get called up]."
Alex also compared the behavior of Turkish and Brazilian fans, he said: "The Turkish people are much more fanatic than the Brazilians, we can't even compare.
"The way they see football is much bigger, far bigger."
The experienced midfielder also talked about his dreams and the future of his career, he said: "My main dream is to finish my career at a big level and choose when I retire rather than being forced to retire."
