Robinho strikes as Milan ease to victory
By Chris Donald
Robinho scored his first Serie A goal of 2013 as he opened the scoring as Milan eased to a 3-1 win over Cagliari.
However, It was Italian striker Mario Balotelli who would steal the show as he scored one and helped create two goals as Milan earned their first win of the season.
The Seleção international latched on to Balotelli’s cross to give the home side an early lead after only eight minutes at the San Siro.
Balotelli then saw a shot parried by the Cagliari ‘keeper which defender Philippe Mexes tucked away to double the advantage.
Marco Sau pulled a goal back for the visitors before Balotelli himself got on the scoresheet getting on to the end of Ignazio Abate’s cross.
It was a simple win for Milan and Robinho whose future at the San Siro seemed to be over after he came close to a return to Santos.
