CSKA and Porto bid for Botafogo's Vitinho - reports
CSKA Moscow from Russia and Portugal's FC Porto have reportedly made offers for Botafogo's young star Vitinho.
The 19-year old versatile player has been shining in the Brazilian top division, scoring decisive goals and helping his team fight for the title.
His success has thus attracted interest from foreign clubs, CSKA Moscow are set to pay his 10 million Euros buyout fee, according to Globo Esporte.
The transfer to the Russian club seemed very close to happening, but FC Porto equaled CSKA's offer Monday night, according to daily sports newspaper Lancenet.
Porto are also willing to let Vitinho remain at Botafogo until the end of the Brazilian seaon, in December, which can be an advantage for the Portuguese club.
Vitinho is now expected to decide soon if he will join the Russian or the Portuguese club, he is not expected to play Botafogo's Brazilian Cup game against Atlético Mineiro on Wednesday.
