Fernandinho disappoints as Man City crash to defeat
€40 million signing Fernandinho disappointed for Manchester City as they crashed to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of promoted side Cardiff City in the Premier League.
Bluebirds striker Fraizer Campbell notched two strikers on the way to a stunning upset over the Citizens.
City opened the scoring in the first half as Edin Dzeko slammed home from 25 yards but Cardiff were not to be dissuaded.
They equalised early on in the second half after a sensational dribble from Kim Bo-Kyung, sending in a ball across the six yard area, and Aron Gunnarsson seized upon the loose ball to tuck home the equaliser.
The hosts then moved quickly to secure their second as Joe Hart was left grasping at a corner before Campbell nodded home to put Cardiff into the lead.
Campbell then took advantage of a second corner, losing marker Pablo Zabaleta to power home his second of the afternoon and Cardiff's third.
Alvaro Negredo grabbed a goal back with a fine header but Cardiff emerged victorious on the evening.
