Copa do Brasil: Vasco stroll to win over Nacional
Vasco da Gama strolled to a comfortable victory over fourth division side Nacional AM in the Copa do Brasil.
Cris and Carlos Tenorio provided the goals in Manaus to send Vasco into the home leg with a decisive advantage.
Vasco failed to score against the minnows until just before the break where defender Cris struck to give them the lead.
Tenorio then doubled their lead with a penalty kick in injury time of the second half as Rafael Morisco was given his marching orders for Nacional.
The Copa do Brasil continues tonight with clashes between Grêmio and Santos, and Atlético Paranaense versus Palmeiras.
More fixtures in the domestic competition will take place on Thursday and Friday to round out the quarter-finals.
