Wolfsburg seal Luiz Gustavo signing
Wolfsburg have completed the signing of Brazilian defensive midfielder Luiz Gustavo from Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.
Gustavo has penned a five-year contract with Dieter Hecking's side that will see him stay at the club until 2018.
The Brazilian has elected to stay in Germany despite advances from Arsenal and Napoli who were reportedly interested in the player.
The 26-year-old's stock is high after starring in the Seleção's Confederations Cup winning campaign, slotting in alongside Paulinho in the midfield double pivot.
But Gustavo fell out of favour with new Bayern boss Pep Guardiola and was made surplus to requirements at the club.
"There's not much to talk about," said Gustavo on his relationship with Guardiola, leading some to speculate that relations have cooled.
"We talk to each other from time to time, but nothing special. Less about personal matters than professional matters."
