Internacional demand £22m for Leandro Damião
Internacional have reiterated their stance on the future of Leandro Damião and have told Tottenham and Southampton that they must pay the £22 million asking price.
The Brazilian striker has been the subject of intense interest this summer but none have matched Inter's price tag.
And Internacional director Marcelo Medeiros has warned the interested parties that Damiao will not come cheap.
"The price is £22million,’ Medeiros told Globoesporte. "If one of the clubs wants to buy Damiao, this is the price they will have to pay."
Inter president Giovanni Luigi earlier talked with Rádio Gaúcha about Leandro Damião's future at the club
"Leandro Damião is focused. There has been no contact in the last days. They talked about Napoli, but nothing official has come," he told the radio station.
Internacional have already sold promising midfielder Fred and defender Rodrigo Moledo to Ukrainian football, and are not eager to sell yet another key player.
Zenit St Petersburg are, however, believed to still be interested and are expected to make an offer soon.
