Sporting Lisbon have completed the signing of midfielder Gérson Magrão, who was recently playing for Figueirense.
The midfielder signed a one-year contract with an option to extend it for two more year, he was recently released on free by Figueirense after failing to impress at the club.
Gérson Magrão talked with Sporting Lisbon’s official site about the transfer, he said: “I hope to have success, it’s a huge pleasure to play for Sporting Lisbon, a big club with a lot of tradition.
“I don’t promise titles, but I do promise to be determined in all games. I will train and do my best to be in the starting XI. I am 28 years old, I’ll try to use my experience to help the younger players.”
