Maicon officially confirmed as Roma player

Roma have officially announced the signing of Maicon on a two-year contract following his release from Manchester City.
The Brazil international right-back has been training with his new teammates in Italy for a while but the club has only released the official statement today.
The statement was released today on the former Inter player’s 32nd birthday this afternoon, reports Football Italia.
The statement reads: "Roma have underwritten a contract with player Maicon Douglas Sisenando, to last two years, with expiry set for June 30 2015.
"The player comes from Manchester City FC, with whom he terminated his contract by mutual consent at the moment he signed for Roma."
Former Inter star Maicon made only 11 appearances in the Premier League last season due to a series of knee injuries before having his contract terminated to allow the move to Roma to be completed.
