Ronaldinho could not hide his happiness following Atlético Mineiro’s first Copa Libertadores title.
Atlético Mineiro won 2-0 during regular time, and finally won the title on penalties after a 0-0 draw during extra-time.
The former Barcelona player talked with reporters aftert he game, he said: “This is why I have returned to Brazil. Not too long ago they said Jô was finished, that I was finished.
“We showed that the players aren’t always wrong, I am not saying players don’t make mistakes, but it’s not always their mistake.”
Ronaldinho has become the first player to win Copa Libertadores, the Champions League, the World Cup and the Ballon d’Or Award.
He will have the chance to win the Club World Cup too, in December. He had the chance to win it in 2006, but his Barcelona were beaten by Internacional in the final.
