Fluminense manager Abel Braga has been given a vote of confidence following his team’s 1-3 defeat to Vasco.
The manager has been linked to Emirati club Al Ain, but the board of Fluminense plan to keep him longer, despite the team’s fourth defeat in a row.
The club’s director of football Rodrigo Caetano talked with Globo Esporte about Abel Braga’s situation, he said: “He will continue, in principle. We won’t make any decision because of one game.
“That wouldn’t be the ideal approach and it won’t be how we do it. There is no doubt that we want him to stay at the club.”
Fluminense are currently in 14th place in the league, the next game will be played on Sunday against Grêmio.
