Bayern make Luiz Gustavo available for transfer - report
Bayern Munich have made Brazilian midfielder Luiz Gustavo available for transfer according to reports in Germany.
Bild claims that the Bavarian giants consider the defensive midfielder surplus to requirements after the arrival of Thiago Alcantara.
Gustavo's agent has been quiet on the matter and was only prepared to tell reports that the player was back in training with the first-team.
The Brazilian was an integral part of the Seleção side that clinched the Confederations Cup in June after a thrilling 3-0 win over Spain in the final.
Gustavo also enjoyed a superb season with Bayern, but it seems now that he will have to find a new club for next season.
With the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Javi Martinez and Toni Kroos all competing for places in the midfield, Gustavo has been consigned to the fringes of the squad.
The Brazilian signed for Bayern in 2009 for a fee of €17 million from 1899 Hoffenheim, becoming a key part of the team least season.
