Zenit set to offer €22m for Leandro Damião - report
Zenit St. Petersburg are expected to offer 22 million Euros for Internacional's striker Leandro Damião, according to reports in Brazilian press.
Rádio Gaúcha claims that the Russian club will make an official offer for the striker by tomorrow. Internacional's manager Dunga and the player's agent Vinícius Prates are already aware of the situation.
Leandro Damião had previously been linked to English Premier League clubs Tottenham and Southamton, and also to Italian club Napoli.
The Italian club made a non-official offer of €18m last week, but Internacional have turned it down as it was deemed too low.
Internacional have failed to sign Al-Rayyan's Nilmar as a replacement for Leandro Damião, and Javier Saviola is now considered the main target.
The Brazilian international window closes on July 20, forcing Internacional to complete the signing of foreign-based players quickly or wait until January.
