Fluminense’s manager Abel Braga is Al-Ain’s first option to replace Cosmin Olaroui, according to reports in Middle Eastern press.

United Arab Emirates’ daily sports newspaper Sport 360° reports that were claims in the local press that he had already signed a two-year contract with Al-Ain.

The reports were denied by Al-Ain’s board, who claimed they are still considering other options. Fluminense have not expressed their position regarding those rumors.

An Al-Ain spokesperson is quoted by Sport 360° as saying: “The club are still negotiating with a few names and with the pre-season training resuming so soon, the club are keen not to put all of their eggs in one basket, and want to make sure they make the right decision.”

Abel Braga was appointed manager of Fluminense in 2011, he lead the club to the Brazilian League title last year.

The Fluminense boss is respected in the United Arab Emirates following a successful period as manager of Al-Jazira from 2008 to 2011.
