Napoli are getting closer in their chase of striker Leandro Damião after Internacional warned "if they want him he’s going to cost €25m".
The Brazil international seems to be the player Rafael Benitez’s side want to replace to €63 million PSG bound Edinson Cavani, reports Football Italia.
Internacional president Giovanni Luigi told Corriere dello Sport: "Is Leandro Damião on the market? Well, in life everything has its price.
"We received an offer from Napoli, it’s true, but not directly. Damião's manager Vinicius Prates told us they are prepared to invest €18m.
"However, that is not enough and we do not intend to give discounts. Our player is worth €25m, not a penny less, and if Napoli want him then he’s going to cost €25m. We’re here and ready to talk."
It is reported that the Partenopei have already agreed a five-year deal worth €2.5m per season, plus performance-related bonuses, but this is yet to be confirmed.
