Brazil and Croatia clashed for the last time on May 22, 1996 in the Vivaldo Lima Stadium in Manaus.

The national Coach Mario Lobo Zagallo, now assistant of Parreira, got the team together for to help them prepare for the Olympic Games of Atlanta, where the Brazilian’s won bronze.

The two teams finished on parity 1-1, with a goal from Silvio Maric for the Croats and Savio for Brazil, at the end of a disappointing match.

Zagallo’s team:

Dida, Flávio Conceição (Marcelinho Paulista), Aldair, Alexandre Lopes et Roberto Carlos; Zé Elias, Amaral (Beto), Juninho Paulista et Rivaldo; Luizão et Sávio.
