Johan Cruyff hits out at 'selfish' Luiz Felipe Scolari
Dutch legend Johan Cruyff has slammed Luiz Felipe Scolari after Dante and Luiz Gustavo missed Bayern Munich's German Cup final on Saturday due to Brazil duty.
The Seleção duo were called up for friendlies with England, which ended 2-2 on Sunday, and France ahead of the upcoming Confederations Cup.
However, the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) did not allow Dante and Gustavo to play in the DFB-Pokal final against Stuttgart instead, and Cruyff has branded Scolari as "selfish" for the decision.
"I don't care much for selfish behaviour and that's why coaches like Scolari and [Jose] Mourinho annoy me," he wrote in his weekly column for De Telegraaf.
"Just look at Scolari. The first game of the Confederations Cup - a friendly tournament - is on June 16, yet he forbade Dante and Luiz Gustavo to play the German cup final.
"It was the last game of Bayern's best-ever season and the post-match celebrations in Munich were the icing on the cake. That shows you don't really understand things."
Bayern won the game 3-2 and became the first German team to claim a treble of trophies, following their Bundesliga and Champions League triumphs.
The Bavarians included the Brazilian duo in their post-match celebrations by parading their shirts.
