Neymar has postponed the announcement of his transfer to European football, as Santos received offers from Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Neymar’s father Neymar da Silva Santos talked about it outside Santos’ Vila Belmiro stadium, he said: “No decision has been made. We will now go home, sit down and talk. We can’t decide in the heat of the moment. We’ll see what Neymar wants.”
Neymar commented as well, he said: “This is an honor, the happiest moment in my life. I will now think carefully about these two proposals.
“I will decide with my family. There’s no hurry. My decision can be made in 5 minutes, half an hour, or three days.”
Santos vice-president Odílio Rodrigues said: “The offers are similar, but it’s true Neymar already has had a gentleman’s agreement with Barcelona for a while.”
Neymar’s agent Wagner Ribeiro has also already confirmed that the second offer is from Real Madrid.
The 21-year-old will play his last game for Santos when his team face Flamengo in the Brazilian National League.
