Porto hero Kelvin delighted with match winning goal against Benfica
FC Porto's young hero Kelvin is delighted with his decisive goal against Benfica, for the 29th round of the Portuguese league.
The victory against their arch-rivals has placed FC Porto very close to the Portuguese title, as they can win the title with a win regardless of Benfica's result.
Kelvin has played for Porto's B team during most of the season, but he has been given more chances at the senior team.
He told cable TV channel Sport TV from Portugal after the game: "My happiness is h, I thank God for everything. You journalists watch our games and know everything we have done is deserved."
"There is one game to play to seal the league title. We will now focus on the last game against Paços de Ferreira."
He added: "This was a historic goal for me as I am just starting my career."
Kelvin tried to explain his goal, he said: ""I got the pass from Liedson, I controlled and shot with my left foot. The coach asked for the same thing from me as against Braga. I got away from my marker well and scored the goal."
