The exodus of Brazilian players to Europe seems less marked this year with the opening of the championships fast approaching.

On the contrary, a certain number of respected players actually decided to move the opposite way. A few months ago, it was Juninho Paulista (ex Atlético Madrid and Middlesbrough), Giovanni (ex Barcelona and Olympiakos)and Marcio Amoroso (ex Parma and Dortmund).

In the next few days, others could decide to return to the country. It is the case for Denilson, currently at Betis of Sevilla who look to be close to an agreement with Cruzeiro, also look likely to lose Fred. FC Santos would be also interested in the winger as a replacement for Robinho.

Currently in exile from the team. Benfica defensive midfielder Paulo Almeida could return earlier than he envisaged. Very little used in Portugal, the player could decide to return to Brazil in order to gain first team football.

After the departure of Luizão in Japan, São Paulo FC seeks an ideal partner in attack for Amoroso for the next world club championship in December.

The most serious target is the solid forward Washington, ex Atlético Paranaense and Fenerbahce.

In Rio, Fluminense would be in negotiations for the recruitment of the Yugoslavian Dejan Petkovic, ex Vasco and Flamengo, currently in Saudi Arabia.
