Seleção legend Ronaldo has once again reiterated his desire to see Santos forward Neymar move to play in Europe.

Neymar, 21, is one of the brightest talents in world football and has been linked with a number of clubs in Europe, most notably Barcelona and Chelsea, over the past few year but has hinted that he would like to stay in the country of his birth until after the 2014 World Cup.

However, Ronaldo, who enjoyed a hugely successful European career with spells at PSV, Barcelona, Inter, Real Madrid and Milan, would rather see the young prodigy move as soon as possible.

“A player of his quality only grows when facing great difficulty and you can only find this in Europe,” said Ronaldo.

“In Brazil, Neymar is not going to grow.”

If Neymar was to move to Europe he is likely to fetch a huge transfer fee for his club Santos, although there are strong rumours that the forward already has a deal in place with Barcelona to move after the World Cup.
