Internacional"s centreback Rodrigo Moledo is thrilled with his call up for Brazil"s national team friendly against Chile.
The centreback was called up as a replacement for Palmeiras" defender Henrique, who has, however, been brought back to the national team squad.
Rodrigo Moledo told press: “I have no words to describe the happiness I"m feeling. I worked very hard to be here, many years of hard work, tough matches and important titles. I owe this to those who had faith in me, especially son and my relatives, who support me, wearing Brazil"s shirt is a dream come true."
“Of course that is good to be called up a year before the World Cup, but I have always done, I think about things step by step. I want to train well, show my work and play well in the friendly. I was waiting for this opportunity and now it has come, I won"t waste it."
He has also thanked Internacional for helping him: “If I got called up for the national team, I owe a lot to Internacional. Everyone at the club treated me well since my first day at [Internacional"s] Beira-Rio [stadium]."
“I was called up because of my work here. And this is how I"ll keep doing from now on. I know that if I am to have more chances at the national team, I have to keep working hard at Internacional."
