Palmeiras striker Leandro hopes to impress Brazil manager Scolari again
Palmeiras' striker Leandro hopes to impress Brazil's manager Luiz Felipe Scolari once again as the Seleção face Chile next week.
The striker is currently on loan from Grêmio, he made his national team debut early this month in a game against Bolivia, scoring one of the goals as Brazil won 4-0 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
Leandro is eager to prove that Scolari has made the right decision, he told press: "I'm happy that Felipão called me up again. That's a sign I'm doing a good job at Palmeiras and that he liked my first [national team] game."
The young national team player expects to impress Scolari again, he added: "I hope to live up to the expectations again and if possible, score a goal again."
Besides Leandro, his Palmeiras teammate Henrique has also been called up for the match against Chile.
The Chilean squad will be announced on Sunday and might include Valdivia, who also plays for Palmeiras.
