Fluminense unaware of Roma interest for Jean
Fluminense's board have denied reports from Italy that midfielder Jean could leave the club to join AS Roma.
The midfielder was called up for Brazil's friendlies against Italy, Russia and Bolivia, thus attracting interesting from Roma.
Fluminense's director of football Rodrigo Caetano talked about the situation, he said: "if there is any interest, they have to come to us. I have nothing to say, Jean will stay with us for a long time."
He added: "Jean's contract says that the exact value of the 50% of his rights that are still owned by [his former team] São Paulo. Fluminense will pay that value."
Fluminense will have to pay around 1.35 million Euros to but the 50% owned by São Paulo.
Jean has 71 appearances for Fluminense, scoring 5 goals and was part of the squad that won the Brazilian League title last year.
He has previously played for São Paulo, Penafiel and several small teams from São Paulo.
