Kelvin wants to stay at Porto, says his father
FC Porto's young player Kelvin has no intention of leaving the club, according to his father Valdecir Oliveira.
The former Paraná player joined Porto in 2011 and was loaned to Rio Ave last season. He shone yesterday as he scored a brace against Braga for the Portuguese league.
Kelvin's father Valdecir Oliveira talked to Rádio Renascença about the 19-year old player, he said: "Kelvin is very happy for having helped as the squad would be sad if the game ended in a draw as they would be too far from Benfica and it would be hard to win the title".
He added that Kelvin wants to stay at Porto for now: "He wants to stay at Porto right now, to develop and adapt. Maybe he will want to leave later, but he is focusing on Porto. He is at a big club, there is no need to move. Kelvin trains hard to be part of the squad".
Valdecir Oliveira completed: "He stayed only one year at Rio Ave to gain European football experience, he is now at home and wants to show what he is capable of".
