Scolari: 15 players already selected for Confederations Cup
Brazil's national team manager Scolari is happy with Brazil's performance in the 4-0 win against Bolivia, which has helped him have a better idea of the players he will choose for the Confederations Cup.
The former Palmeiras manager told press after the game: "this was an opportunity to take a look at some players that I was not fielding and using in the position I wanted, like Jean for example".
Scolari added: "or to see how Réver would react, as I had not called him up before although he is doing very well at Atlético Mineiro".
He pointed out that the competition between the centrebacks for places in the squad is fierce, Scolari said: "I have to think about many things. All centrebacks I call up end up living up to the expectations and that was Réver's case too. I already have four or five centrebacks fighting for the same position, and I can take four [for the Confederations Cup], so that's great".
The Seleção's manager concluded: "Probably 13 or 14 players that played against Bolivia will be called up against Chile and after that game there will be a final decision about the Confederations Cup squad. I already have hypotethically selected 14, 15 players in my head".
