Santos had a disappointing 2-2 draw against Mogi Mirim at the Vila Belmiro stadium, for the 15th round of the São Paulo State Championship.

The home side had the lead twice, as Neymar made the assist for Cícero, who opened the scoring near the end of the first half, but Henrique equalized in the second half.

Young Giva scored 2-1 later on in the game but Waguininho equalized the game again for Mogi Mirim.

The result is hard to explain according to Brazil’s national team star Neymar, he said after the game: “the team are very good, it’s a great squad. We only drew tonight. I don’t know what didn’t work, we’ll train, get our act together to win the next game”.

Santos’ poor performance annoyed Santos’ fans, who booed their own team, Neymar was also criticized by some supporters.

Neymar believes this is natural though, he said: “I don’t care much, they insult today, but tomorrow they will be happy. this is football, the pressure is big”.

He completed: “Nobody likes to be booed or criticized, especially considering everything that has been done for the club, especially me. I love the club, we like to win and be praised”.
