Atlético Mineiro’s winger Bernard is anxious to be called up by Scolari for Brazil’s upcoming friendly against Bolivia.
He was not for called up for Brazil’s previous games against England, Italy and Russia, but he feels he might be included in the next squad.
Bernard told press: “It’s always a big expectation to be called up, not only because of how I’ve been playing but also because of how Atlético Mineiro are playing. I always say, it doesn’t matter if a player is in good form if the team aren’t”.
The 20-year old winger added: “But Scolari knows how to call up players, I have to keep doing my job, be consistent, to have a good sequence at the national team”.
The Atlético Mineiro star completed: “A player always wants to be called up, I hope I am. It will come in the right moment, in the right time. I have to work hard so that the moment comes”.
Bernard only has one cap as he represented Brazil against Argentina in November, for the Superclásico de las Américas tournament.
