Barcelona defender Dani Alves has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a “big worry” ahead of their Champions League quarter-final fixtures.
The Sweden international has been cleared to play in both legs after successfully appealing his two-game ban following a red card against Valencia.
Alves has now warned of the danger posed by his former Barca team-mate ahead of their final eight tie next month.
The Brazilian told RMC: “Ibrahimovic is a big worry for us. He is a great player and a formidable athlete. I had the honour of being his team-mate.
“We have come up against each other before and I will approach the game in the same way I did then.”
The former Valencia full-back was also keen to stress that the Ligue 1 leaders have many other talented and players in their ranks despite Ibrahimovic being the centre of attention.
Alves added: “We’ll have to work very hard to make sure he doesn’t score goals.
“We know that he is a very important player that can score at any moment, but we also need to be wary of the other Paris Saint-Germain players.”
Carlo Ancelotti’s side host the Spanish giants on April 2 before the return leg at Camp Nou eight days later.
