The third round of the Taça Rio was played yesterday, Flamengo and Fluminense won while Vasco’s bad form continued.

Flamengo beat Bangu 2-1, the win was not convincing as the alvirrubro dominated most of the game and scored first with Sérgio Júnior.

Fla’s comeback happened in the second half, as Rodolfo came from the bench to equalize the match. Ives scored an own goal near the end of the game to give Jorginho his first win as Flamengo’s manager.

Fluminense had little trouble to beat Macaé 3-1. thanks to a hat-trick scored by Michael in the first half.

A penalty was awarded to Flu in the second half, Rhayner had the chance to end his 82-game draught in the second half, but he wasted it.

Vasco kept their disappointing form as they drew 0-0 against Olaria, this was Paulo Autuori’s first game as Vasco’s manager.

They now have one point in three games in Taça Rio, and are in 7th place. The top two from each group advance to the semifinals.
