Real Madrid’s midfielder Kaká returned to Brazil’s starting lineup against Russia, but he failed to impress, getting subbed off in the second half.

Kaká has not played as often as he would like at club level, but his experience is deemed useful for the national team.

The midfielder has admitted he did not play well, he said after the game: “It wasn’t my best game for Brazil, I made mistakes in decisive moments, in the last pass. Unfortunately things don’t always happen the way we want”.

Kaká is confident he will be called up again though, he said: “That was another step, I know I have to improve more, fix some things, use something of what I have done, form is what matters, it will depend on what I do for my club, Scolari has been following the games”.

He did not complain about Brazil’s formation, he added: “I feel comfortable, we had freedom to use the space ahead of us, and switch when defending. Unfortunately Russia didn’t give us much space”.

The Real Madrid player thinks Brazil will win improve, he said: “The win will come naturally, of course the current situation bothers us, as everyone wants to win.The draw against Italy left a bad taste as we were winning. It was different today”.
