Dedé had to miss Vasco’s game against Nova Iguaçu and be removed from the national team squad due to feeling abnominal pains.

He was examined by doctors yeaterday and has been allowed to train again, but he is unlikely to play against Olaria tomorrow, for the Rio de Janeiro State Championship.

Vasco’s doctor Albino Pinto said the following about his condition: “Dedé will still undergo more tests until the weekend, more likely on Thursday. he will remain in observation”.

The doctor added that he has a tiny chance of playing Vasco’s next game, he said: “If he has no pain and train without any problems, he might have condition to play against Olaria. But we think it’s better to wait until the game against Botafogo. Let’s see”.

Dedé has recently been linked to foreign teams, with Liverpool, Milan and Juventus reportedly interested in signing him. Cruzeiro and Corinthians have expressed interest in the defender. Vasco want around 15 million Euros to sell the defender.
