Accompanied by his club mascot, São Paulo midfielder Wellington spent part of Monday delivering Easter Eggs to child cancer sufferers in the city.

Wellington, 22, spent the morning at Casa Ronald McDonald, a support group for children and adolescents with cancer in Moema, São Paulo.

As well as presenting the kids with chocolate eggs, the midfielder also spent time playing and chatting with the young patients.

“It was a big learning experience. To see the kids smiling look that, despite the problems they have, means a lot to me,” he said

“Sometimes we complain for silly reasons, but there is much more to life. It is a great pleasure to make this visit and they have given me a great lesson.”

Wellington will be back in footballing action on Wednesday night when São Paulo take on Bragantino in the Campeonato Paulista.
