Agent claims PSG's Lucas Moura almost joined Inter

The agent of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Lucas Moura has claimed that the Brazilian was on the verge of joining Inter Milan.

The 20-year-old was one of the most sought after talents during the summer transfer window with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea interested.

Lucas eventually joined PSG in January after the Ligue 1 leaders agreed a €40 million fee with São Paulo back in August, however, his representative has revealed that the Nerazzurri almost bagged the playmaker instead.

He told Sky Sport Italia: "Inter were really close to buying Lucas. The boy had accepted the Inter project.

"The only small detail they had to accommodate was that Lucas wanted to stay in Brazil until January.

"PSG were the only team that offered this possibility – so he decided to sign with the French team."
