Italy-Brazil: Andrea Pirlo insists there is "no such thing as a friendly"
Italy’s Andrea Pirlo insists there is no such thing as a friendly in international football ahead of their game against Brazil this week.
The two giants of the world game will meet at the Stade de Genève in Geneva, Switzerland, on Thursday.
Pirlo is hopeful that his side will prove their worth in the friendly, especially while exhibiting their new shirt.
The Juventus playmaker said: "There are no such things as friendly matches in football, especially when Italy are involved and especially when the opponents are Brazil.
"We want to wear this jersey in the best way possible.
"And it is always a pleasure to take part in games like this one coming up."
Italy and Brazil have been drawn in Group A for this summer's Confederations Cup and will meet again on June 22 at the Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador.
