Barça's Adriano ruled out for six weeks with hamstring injury
Barcelona have confirmed that left-back Adriano will miss up to six weeks with a hamstring injury sustained in their Liga match with Rayo Vallecano.
The Brazil international was replaced by Dani Alves after 23 minutes, as he pulled a hamstring attempting to retrieve a pass from team-mate Andres Iniesta.
Barcelona confirmed that the player is set to be ruled out for six weeks via its official Twitter account.
"Adriano suffered a hamstring tear in his right thigh. The approximate time out will be between four and six weeks," stated the Catalan giants.
Barca went on to win the home clash against Rayo 3-1 thanks to an opening goal from David Villa and two goals either side of half-time from Lionel Messi.
The 28-year-old now looks set to miss both legs of his side's Champions League tie with Paris Saint-Germain, as well as the Liga meetings with Celta Vigo, Mallorca and Zaragoza.
