Seleção boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is facing an injury crisis as up to five players could be set to drop out of the squad altogther after the weekend fixtures took its toll.

Paulinho and Lucas Moura have already dropped out of the travelling party and Diego Costa, David Luiz and captain Thiago Silva could be set to join them.

Chelsea’s David Luiz was forced to limp off the pitch in the second half of Chelsea’s 2-0 win over West Ham United but coach Rafa Benitez played down fears of a long term layoff.

Thiago Silva was the target of a dangerous tackle from compatriot Brandão in PSG’s 2-2 draw with St. Etienne.

Diego Costa also left the field with an ankle injury in Atlético Madrid’s 2-0 win over Osasuna, raising fears that he could miss out on his international debut.

While not included in the squad, Barcelona recently announced that defender Adriano is set to be out for up to six weeks with a torn hamstring.
