Paulinho set to miss Brazil friendlies with thigh injury

Corinthians' midfielder Paulinho has been removed from Brazil's squad for the upcoming friendlies against Italy and Russia after suffering a left thigh injury that will keep him out of the pitches for 10 days.
Paulinho has been playing as a starter in Brazil's national team midfielder along with Ramires.
He is widely regarded as one of the best players in Brazil and was part of the Corinthians squad that won the Club World Cup last year.
Brazil's national team doctor José Luiz Runco affirmed that the injury is not serious but the decision to remove him from the squad was made along with Joaquim Grava from Corinthians.
No replacement will be called up, Paulinho is the second player to miss Brazil's next games due to injuries.
Lucas Moura was recently removed from the squad with a knee injury. São Paulo's in-form Osvaldo was called up to replace him.
Brazil play against Italy in Genéve on March 21 and against Italy in London on March 25.
