Man Utd loanee Fabio praises Harry Redknapp influence
On-loan Manchester United defender Fabio da Silva believes he is a better player for having worked under manager Harry Redknapp this season.
Redknapp arrived at Loftus Road in November and has attempted to turn around the Rs season, with the West London side's expensively compiled squad failing to perform.
While the club's future remains in the balance, Fabio believes that he has benefitted from Redknapp's influence whatever the outcome.
“He [Redknapp] is good to work with,” he told London24. “I feel I’ve become a better defender. He’s put me on the left wing, right wing as well. I am enjoying it here.
Queens Park Rangers will this weekend travel to Villa Park to take on fellow relegation battlers Aston Villa, a game which Fabio believes the Super Hoops can take all three points from.
“It’s massive for us,” he continued. “We go there and have a chance to win. Every game is different. You have to concentrate and be at 100 per cent to play the game.
“We’ve started to be more confident with two wins and we have a big game with Villa and we want to win again. I believe, 100 per cent, that we can survive.”
The encounter between QPR and Aston Villa will take place at 15.00 GMT on Saturday, with reports on Sambafoot post-game.
