FIFA's Jerome Valcke allays Maracanã concerns

FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke has allayed concerns over the famed Maracanã stadium after reports of concerns that it would fail to make the imposed deadline.
According to Valcke's Twitter account, the Maracanã has been confirmed as meeting the FIFA's expected completion date of April 27.
Brazil are required by FIFA to complete all six stadiums hosting the 2013 Confederations Cup by April 15, but there were claims that the Maracanã was a serious doubt.
Valcke reportedly told the press congregation that he was concerned about the Maracanã's progress.
But he took to Twitter to dismiss concerns about the stadium.
Pleased that Rio’s governor Cabral today reconfirmed in our meeting the delivery of completed Maracanã on 27 April 2013

Valcke is currently in Rio de Janeiro where he will also participate in a board meeting of the local World Cup organizing committee.
Maracanã, which will also host the World Cup final in 2014, was one of the stadiums not delivered in December as FIFA originally required.
